Hiya! I'm mostly an editor of English Wikipedia, but I hopped on here on August 25, 2020 to revert some vandalism of the main page. I've a BA in linguistics, family in Scotland, and a love for the preservation of minority languages. Below you'll find some of the projects I'm working on here (a lot of cleanup).

If you're a native Scots speaker and you've got a second to translate some Templates and Wikipedia pages I'm trying to port over from enwiki, take a look at these:

PRAYER POWER

eedit

On 2020-09-11, I came across a gaggle of IP editors that have been active since 2017, making and editing articles about various military technology and institutions in Iran, North Korea, and China, as well as various other things (like Filipino TV stations, UNESCO world heritage sites, and the Brazilian Airmed Forces. Seeing as most of their articles have only ever been edited by others in this network of IPs (identifiable by nonsense edit summaries like INTERNAL SERVER ERROR, NEWSFORCE, PRAYER POWER, and MATA NG AGILA), I've set about tagging them with {{delete}} (or, in the extremely rare case {{fixscots}}). Feel free to help out!

Fixer88

eedit

I keep finding more Fixer88 IPs and alternate accounts, so I list them here since there is no other central list. Thanks to Bangalamania for finding some of these.

These IPs have suspiciously similar editing patterns to the Fixer88 accounts-- ie a focus on "hivy metal", a location in Mt Laurel, NJ, or a tendency to edit pages created by Fixer and their registered alternates. (Thanks to CiphriusKane for finding many of these)

Many of the pages created by the above IPs will be difficult to locate automatically due to the large number of bot edits on some of them. To aid future cleanup efforts, I'll list here the most common bots found editing their pages:

FCBMSW

eedit

FCBMSW seems to be responsible for many of the articles to do with human sexuality (and also, weirdly, the Protest stub). Given the speed of their edits, the fact that they tagged many of the pages they created with {{translatit page}}, and the high visibility of these articles (Clitoris, Penis, and Masturbation all made the top-100 most-viewed articles of August 2020), I reckon his contributions deserve a fair amount of scrutiny. I'm making a note of this here so we've a record of it.
