In 1985, Trevi wis a member o a short-livit girl group namit Boquitas Pintadas.[2] Efter the group broke up in 1988, she approached Sergio Andrade for the production o her first solo album, ¿Qué Hago Aquí? ("Wha am A doin Here?"), wis released in 1989 an scored a nummer ane hit, Dr. Psiquiatra.[3]
Trevi follaed this first record wi Tu Ángel de la Guarda ("Your Guardian Angel"), whilk wis even sonsier. Pelo Suelto wis sonsie an aw, reakin nummer ane aw ower Laitin Americae an in Spain. Her third album, Me siento tan sola ("A Feel So Lonely"), wis released in 1992 garnerin anither hit, Zapatos Viejos ("Auld Shoes"). Aw three albums wur recordit in Los Angeles, Californie. In 1993, Trevi wis nominatit for Pop Female Artist of the Year at the Lo Nuestro Awards.[4]
