AusbauEedit

My point was that Scots isn't an Ausbau language although I expect those (now rejected) prestigious literary conventions were what led the German linguist Heinz Kloss to consider Modern Scots a Halbsprache ('half language') in terms of an abstand and ausbau languages framework[1] (from Scots Language). As to Abstand, I'm sure you're in a position to figure that one out for yourself. Nogger (tauk) 10:33, 25 September 2020 (UTC)

(in Inglis) January editathonEedit

Just a wee reminder that the next scots wiki editathon takes place this weekend, Sat 30 & Sun 31 January. If you'd like help improving your written scots skills, then folks from the Scots Language Centre will be on Zoom on Saturday (15:00-17:00 GMT) and Sunday (12:00-14:00 GMT) to do some collaborative editing, and I'll be around to help with any wiki queries. Feedback last time was that the language support was really helpful (and fun!), and we'd love to see you. We're looking mainly at improving articles to do with politics, particularly articles about politicians. More info, article lists, and sign up details on the event page: Wikipedia:Scots Wikipedia Editathon Januar 2021. Sara Thomas (WMUK) (tauk) 09:50, 27 Januar 2021 (UTC)
