The saguaro (/səˈwɑːroʊ/; scienteefic name Carnegiea gigantea) is an arborescent (tree-lik) cactus species in the monotypic genus Carnegiea, which can grow tae be ower 20 meters (~70 ft) taw. It is native tae the Sonoran Desert in the U.S. state o Arizona, the Mexican state o Sonora, an the Whipple Muntains an Imperial Coonty auries o Californie. The saguaro blossom is the State Wildflouer o Arizona.
