Peshawar (Pashto: پېښور) is a destrict in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province o Pakistan. Till diveesions wur abolished as pairt o local govrenment reforms in 2000 it wis pairt o Peshawar Diveesion. The ceety o Peshawar, as well as bein the provincial caipital, is the caipital o the destrict.
