The province borders Eustaquio Méndez Province in the northwast, José María Avilés Province in the soothwast, Aniceto Arce Province in the sooth, an Burdett O'Connor Province in the east.
The province extends ower 80 km frae north tae sooth, an 80 km frae east tae wast.
