If you're really serious about doing that, I recommend that you start writing some articles for the encyclopaedia. The most basic thing for any user, admin or not, is to add articles in Scots. The predicament affecting the Scot Wiki is not a normal situation. Most of my past efforts have been on en wiki, but I'm also familiar with wiki data and wiki source. I have been active across sev erl wikis for more than six years, I have created articles, done work on categories, checking and updating sources. Some of my work on en wiki has been on the Scots language and the culture in Scotland. I have also been involved in discussions at nominations for deletion. I have been accredited by Wikimedia UK as trainer, but I'm not employed by Wikimedia UK.

I've previously looked at pages on the Scots wikipedia many times over previous years, but until now only made a very few edits- there has been an overwhelming sense of "where to start"- but with some energy and purpose we could at least get a core of important topics to a good standard.

I've grown up in Scotland, with plenty immersion in the Scots language. I don’t need to be an admin to get on and help improve the wiki, but I expect there will be a need for moving and renaming pages and other oversight. I’m willing to offer my experience (and to learn further).

@CiphriusKane, JJPMaster, and Vaticidalprophet: Ever since the August thing went down, I pretty much dreaded my next RFA. It isn't because I don't love this project; I so dearly do. However, I am not Scottish, and I can't speak Scots. As I said in my AmA, I would be willing to step down as soon as a replacement can be found. With CiphriusKane as an admin, I pretty much fulfilled that previous declaration (CK is seriously the best).
I honestly know it really is unfortunate since for a few crucial months I was considered to be the most helpful admin on this project, but I don't want to be legacy admin forever. There are enough of those around here and elsewhere. My parting advice to them would be just to give up their gibbins if they aren't going to use them.
Finally, if CK (or any user here for that matter) ever needs help or advice from me (or just wants to rant about how stupid things are), well they know how to reach me. MJL has clearly and in multiple places demonstrated the desire to detach themselves from the scowiki admin role, and if the project is to repair and recover it needs to move on from its difficult past -- as MJL knows.
