The deepest loch, Loch Suaineabhat at 67 metre (220 feet), is the deepest ooterly loch in the Brítish Isles. The coast haes significant inlats; e.g. Little Loch Roag, Loch Thamnabhagh, Loch Reasort an Uig Bay.

Wirdy o geological tent is the discovery o the lairgest sapphire o the Brítish Isles; the 242-carat (48.4-gram) stane wis discovered in 1995 an is on display at the Naitional Museum o Scotland.
