In 1929 a new Rhein-Wupper destrict wis creatit, while several municipalities wur incorporatit intae the ceeties Wuppertal, Remscheid an Solingen. 1932 the destricts Mülheim an Wipperfürth wur mergit tae form the auld Rheinisch-Bergische Kreis.
