A kirk existit in the veelage syne at least the 13t century. The praisent kirk dates fae 1816 bit wis remodelt bi J M Bowie o Dumfries in 1929. It is a Category C leetit biggin.[3] The kirk ceased tae be uised for worship aboot 2014 an wis subsequent place't on the property mercat for coversion tae a domestic dwallin. As o 2019, the biggin remeens on the mercat.
