It haes a population in 2012 o 2,778,913,[2] an haes a total aurie o 29,574 km2 (11,419 sq mi). Galicia haes ower 1,660 km (1,030 mi) o coastline, [3] includin its affshore islands an islets, amang them Cíes Islands, Ons, Sálvora, Cortegada, an —the lairgest an the maist populatit ane— Arousa Island.
