GM Korea's roots go back tae the umwhile Daewoo Group which went bankrupt in 1999. It haes five manufacturin facilities in Korea as well as an assembly facility in Vietnam. On 20 Januar 2011, General Motors annooncit that GM Daewoo wad be renamit GM Korea "tae reflect [Daewoo's] hichtened status in [the] global operations o GM,"[4] effective Mairch 2011. Maist o the umwhile Daewoo products wur rechristened as Chevrolets. GM´s luxury division Cadillac is available in Sooth Korea an aw.
