Tae the north an northwast frae the raion is locatit Ivankiv Raion which includes territory o the umwhile Chornobyl Raion an aw, tae the wast is locatit Borodyanka Raion, tae the soothwast Vyshhorod Raion borders wi the Kiev-Sviatoshyn Raion, tae the sooth is locatit the Obolon Raion o the Kiev ceety, tae the sootheast - the Brovary Raion, while tae the east an northeast is locatit the Kozelets Raion (Chernihiv Oblast).
