Follaein the end o 2015, Turkey an Ukraine experienced closer relations as a result o baith kintras increasingly strained relationship wi Roushie.[2] On 20 August 2016 Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan told his Ukrainian coonterpairt Petro Poroshenko that Turkey waud nae recognise the 2014 Roushie annexation o Crimea; calling it "Crimea's occupation".[3] On 9 Januar 2017 Turkey's Foreign Meenister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu statit "We support the territorial integrity o Ukraine an Georgie. We do nae recognise the annexation o the launds o Ukraine.[4]
