The notice in the Glasgow Herald describit the estate as consistin o upwairds o 15 acre (6.1 ha), wi a mansion hoose conteenin 2 dwellins an gardens well stockit wi fruit trees.[1]
Contemporar maps frae the 1850s show the auld hoose renamit as "Mount Floridae, (Ruin)". It wis entered frae Prospecthill Road an consistit o twa semi-detached dwellins an surroondin gardens.
Hintle o the present suburb is situatit in the area tae the sooth o the auld hoose. This grund wis pairt o the "Lands of Clincart", which wur put up for sale bi auction on 28 Juin 1836. A fermhoose an 95 acres o laund wur affert for potential residential development.[2]
