Liaoning
Liaoning (help·info) (simplifeed Cheenese: 辽宁; traditeeonal Cheenese: 遼寧; pinyin: Liáoníng) is a province o the Fowkrepublic o Cheenae, locatit in the northeast o the kintra. Its ane-character abbreviation is "辽" (pinyin: liáo), a name taken frae the Liao River that flowes throu the province. "Níng" means "peace".[3] The modren province wis established in 1907 as Fengtian province (奉天 pinyin: Fèngtiān; Postal map spellin: Fengtien) an the name wis chyngit tae Liaoning in 1929. Unner the Japanese puppet Manchukuo regime, the province revertit tae its 1907 name, but the name Liaoning wis restored in 1945.
