Hódmezővásárhely (Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈhoːdmɛzøːvaːʃaːrhɛj] ( listen); Croatie: Vašarhelj, Romanian: Ioneşti) is a ceety in sooth-east Hungary, on the Great Hungarian Plain, at the meetin pynt o the Békés-Csanádi Ridge an the clay grassland surroondin the river Tisza. The name o the toun means "beaver field mercat place."
