Borders wi Tver Oblast in the northwast, Klinsky Destrict in the wast, Solnechnogorsky Destrict in the soothwast, Taldomsky Destrict in the north, Sergiyevo-Posadsky Destrict in the east, Pushkinsky Destrict in the sootheast an Mytishchinsky Destrict in the sooth. Soothren portion o the destrict is hilly, northren portion is maistly flat. The heichest point is 273 m abuin sea level an the lawest point is 113 m. The major river flowin through the destrict include the Sestra River, the Volgusha River an the Yakot River. Moscow Canal that connects the Moskva River wi the Volga River is runs through the destrict.
