Zamalka (Arabic: زملكا‎) is a toun in soothren Sirie, admeenistratively pairt o the Rif Dimashq Govrenorate, locatit juist east o Damascus's neebourheid o Jobar. Nearbi localities include al-Qabun, Ayn Turma, Arbin, Saqba an Kafr Batna. Accordin tae the Sirie Central Bureau of Statistics, Zamalka haed a population o 44,661 in the 2004 census.[1]

Zamalka wis visitit bi Sirie geografer Yaqut al-Hamawi in the early 13t-century, durin Ayyubid rule. He notit that it wis "a veelage o the Ghautah o Damascus. The Siries aften pronoonce the name Zamluka."[2]
