Shathah
Shathah (Arabic: شطحة التحتا, šaṭḥat at-taḥta) is a toun in northwastren Sirie, admeenistratively pairt o the Hama Govrenorate, locatit northwast o Hama. Nearbi localities include Slinfah tae the northwast, Nabl al-Khatib an Farikah tae the north, al-Huwash tae the northeast, Huwayjat al-Sallah tae the sootheast, Inab tae the sooth an Ayn al-Tineh tae the wast.[2] Accordin tae the Sirie Central Bureau o Statistics (CBS), Shathah haed a population o 8,076 in the 2004 census. It is the admeenistrative centre and lairgest toun o the Shathah al-Tahta nahiyah ("subdestrict") which consistit o 12 localities wi a collective population o 25,273 in 2004.[1]
