The Inter-Entity Boundary Line (IEBL) atween Bosnie an Herzegovinae's twa entities essentially follaes the front lines at the end o the Bosnie War wi adjustments (maist importantly in the wastren pairt o the kintra an aroond Sarajevo) defined bi the Dayton Agreement. The total length o the IEBL is approximately 1,080 km. The IEBL is an admeenistrative demarcation uncontrolled bi military or polis an there is free muivement athort it.

Unner the Law on Territorial Organization an Local Sel-Govrenment, adoptit in 1994, Republika Srpska wis dividit intae 80 municipalities. Efter the Dayton Peace Agreement the law wis amendit tae reflect chynges tae borders: it nou comprises 63 municipalities.
