Pardes Hanna-Karkur

Pardes Hanna-Karkur (Hebrew: פַּרְדֵּס חַנָּה-כַּרְכּוּר‬) is a toun in the Haifa Destrict o Israel. In 2015 it haed a population o 38,009.[1]

In 1913, 15 square kilometers o land wis purchased bi the Hachsharat Hayishuv society frae Arabs in Jenin an Haifa for 400,000 francs (a sum equivalent tae 2 million US dollars).[2] Twa years later, the land wis sauld tae a private investor, Yitzhak Shlezinger, the Odessa Committee an the First Lunnon Ahuza society. This land became the core o Karkur, Moshav Gan Hashomron an Kibbutz Ein Shemer.
