Ossetic leid
Ossetian (Ирон ӕвзаг, Iron ævzag or Иронау, Ironau), an aa sometimes cawed Ossete,[1] is an East Iranian leid spoken in Ossetie, a region on the slopes o the Caucasus Muntains.
The aurie in Roushie is kent as North Ossetie-Alanie, while the aurie sooth o the border is referred tae as Sooth Ossetie, recognized bi Roushie, Nicaragua, Venezuela an Nauru as an independent state but bi the rest o the international community as pairt o Georgie. Ossetian speakers nummer aboot 525,000, sixty percent o whom live in North Ossetie-Alanie, an ten percent in Sooth Ossetie.
