Nimruz (Balochi/Pashto/Persie: نیمروز ) is ane o the thirty-fower provinces o Afghanistan, in the sooth-wast o the kintra on the borders o Iran an Pakistan. The name Nimruz means "mid-day" or "hauf-day" in Persie. Nimruz covers 41,000 km² an haes a population o 149,000 (2002 estimate). It is the maist spairsely populatit province in the kintra, locatit in the Sistan Basin. A substantial pairt o the province is the desert aurie o Dashti Margo.
