Municipality o Sežana

The Municipality o Sežana (Slovene: Občina Sežana) is a municipality in the Littoral region o Slovenie, near the Italian border.[2] The seat o the municipality is the toun o Sežana. The municipality wis established on 6 November 1994, when the umwhile Municipality o Sežana wis dissolvit intae fower smawer municipalities (Divača, Komen, Hrpelje–Kozina, an Sežana).

Slavic tribes, ancestors o modren Slovenes, first settled the aurie in the late 6t hunderyear A.D. In the Middle Ages, the aurie belangit tae the Duchy o Friuli an the Patriairchate o Aquileia, till it wis conquered bi the Coonts o Gorizia in the 14t hunderyear. In 1500, it fell unner the Habsburg dominion an it wis includit in the Coonty o Gorizia an Gradisca.
