Mardin
Mardin (Ottoman Turkish: ماردين, Mardīn, Kurdish: Mêrdîn, Clessical Syriac: ܡܪܕܝܢ) is a ceety in sootheastren Turkey. The caipital o Mardin Province, it is kent for the Artuqid airchitectur o its auld ceety, an for its strategic location on a rocky hill near the Tigris River that rises steeply ower the flat plains.[1]
