The mackerel (Scomber scombrus) is a speshies of fish found in the temperate waters of the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea, an the northren Atlantic Ocean, where it is extremely common an occurs in huge schools in the pelagic zone down about 200 m (660 ft).
