Kelvinbrig is the common name for the Great Wastren Brig, a cast iron road an pedestrian brig fund in the Wast End o the city o Glesga, Scotland, biggit fur tae cairy the Great Wastern Road (A82) at a heich level athort the River Kelvin.[2] Completit in 1891 bi Bell & Miller, it replaced an aulder stane bridg (completit in 1840),[3] and has a similar design to the Partick Bridge[4] and has a similar design to the Partick Bridge[5] an haes a seemilar design tae the Partick Brig crossin the same river, fund a short distance sooth-wastle. It haes been a Category A listir structur frae 1986.[6]

Nixt tae the brig is Kelvinbrig subway station on the Glesga Subway - ae o the deepest pynts on the line acayse o the proximity tae the river - on the south east-side o the brig. This was the airtin o Kelvinbrig railway station on the Glesga Central Railway an aw. Due tae thir ither usies, the name Kelvinbrig is uised tae refer tae the residential areas near aboot the brig an aw, includin but no limitit tae pairts o the neebourheids o Woodside, Woodlands, Kelvinside an Hillheid.
The Glesga Academy private schuil is near on the Hillheid side o the valley, wi Lansdowne Kirk (1863) - featurin a spire thit is at 66 metre (217 ft) is amang the tallest structures in the city[10] - on the opposite bank.
