The aurie o the destrict is 1,376 square kilometer (531 sq mi). Its admeenistrative centre is the landwart locality (a selo) o Chikola.[1] Population: 15,766 (2010 Census);[3] 15,708 (2002 Census);[6] 15,732 (1989 Census).[7] The population o Chikola accoonts for 44.5% o the destrict's total population.[3]
