(en) Redirect to "coconut"?
eedit"Cocaenit" appears to be quite an uncommon spelling. Appears not to be used in 21st-century Scots, although appears on the Scots Online Dictionary. No results on DSL either. --Корсикэн-Уара (юзер толк) 14:40, 5 Apryle 2021 (UTC)
- As coconuts were very likely introduced to Scotland by English speakers it would be unsurprising if they were known as anything other than coconuts in the vernacular. Nevertheless, the ae in cocae appears to be arrived at by analogy with the vernacular pronunciations of the o in piano or the ow in window. Nit is apparently the Scots for nut. Try and use a cokey-nut for that ... appears in a vernacular song for children. Nogger (tauk) 21:08, 8 Apryle 2021 (UTC)
