Its range extends intae soothwest Asie in the muntains o northren Turkey an the Caucasus. The closely relatit Betula platyphylla in northren Asie an Betula szechuanica o central Asie are an aa treatit as varieties o siller birk bi some botanists, as B. pendula var. platyphylla an B. pendula var. szechuanica respectively (see birk classification).[1][2][3]
