Alonso de Ibáñez is a province in the northren pairts o the Bolivie Potosí Depairtment. Its caipital is Sacaca (1,862 inhabitants in 2001).

Alonso de Ibáñez province is ane o saxteen provinces in the Potosí Depairtment. It is locatit atween 17 56' an 18 20' Sooth an atween 66 10' an 66 48' Wast. It borders Cochabamba Depairtment in the north, Oruro Depairtment in the soothwast, Rafael Bustillo Province in the sooth, Charcas Province in the sootheast, an Bernardino Bilbao Province in the northeast. The province extends ower 75 km frae east tae wast an 60 km frae north tae sooth.

The main leid o the province is Quechua, spoken bi 88 %, while 62 % o the population speak Aymara an 49 % speak Spaingie. The population increased frae 23,512 inhabitants (1992 census) tae 27,755 (2001 census), an increase o 18 %.

96 % o the population hae nae access tae electricity, 95 % hae nae sanitary facilities. 78.5 % o the population are employed in agricultur, 0.3 % in minin, 8.7 % in industry, 12.5 % in general services. 95.5 % o the population are Catholics, 3.5 % Protestants.

The fowk are predominantly indigenous ceetizens o Quechua an Aymara strynd.[1]
