The Gruffalo
The Gruffalo is a fictional beastie creatit by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. He has muckle big paws, muckle sherp teeth and muckle strang jaws. He is thorcht tae have a nomadic lifestyle due tae his familiarity with many Scots tongues includin Glesga patter,[1] Doric,[2] Dundee, Orkney an Shetland. He has niver been observed swimin' but his knowledge o insular Scots suggests some means to travel to those islands. In winter the Gruffalo hibernates in caves with the bairn.[3]
