Santa María del Tule

The toun’s claim tae fame is as the hame o a 2,000 year auld Montezuma cypress tree, kent as the El Árbol del Tule, which is ane o the auldest, lairgest an widest trees in the warld. Its gnarled trunk an branches are filled wi shapes that hae been gien names such as “the elephant,” “the pineapple” an even ane cried “Carlos Salinas’ ears.”[2][3][4]
