The Oxalidaceae, or wid sorrel faimily, is a smaa faimily o aicht genera o yerbaceous plants, shrubs an smaa trees, wi the great majority o the 900 species in the genus Oxalis (wid sorrels). Members o this faimily teepically hae dividit leafs, the leaflets shawin "sleep movements", speldin open in licht an closin in the mirkness.
The genus Averrhoa o whilk starnfruit is a member, is aften includit in this faimily, but some botanists pit it in a separate faimily Averrhoaceae.
