Accordin tae the 2002 census o the Naitional Statistics Institute, Nogales haes 21,633 inhabitants (10,786 men an 10,847 weemen). O these, 18,698 (86.4%) livit in urban auries an 2,935 (13.6%) in landwart auries. The population grew bi 15.9% (2,964 bodies) atween the 1992 an 2002 censuses.[2]
