Nevada City (oreeginally, Ustumah, a Nisenan Maidu village;[5] later, Nevada, Deer Creek Dry Diggins, an Caldwell's Upper Store)[6] is the coonty seat o Nevada Coonty, Californie, Unitit States, locatit 60 mile (97 km) northeast o Sacramento an 28 mile north o Auburn. In 1900, 3,250 fowk livit in Nevada City; in 1910, 2,689 livit thare; at the 2000 census, the population wis 3,001, an at the 2010 census it wis 3,068.
