Matrix (mathematics)

In mathematics, a matrix (plural: matrices) is a rectangular array o nummers, seembols, or expressions, arranged in rowes an columns.

The m rows are horizontal and the n columns are vertical. Ilk element o a matrix is eften denotit bi a variable wi two subscripts. For ensaumple, a_2,1 represents the element at the seicont rowe an first column o a matrix A.
