Luxembourg Pailace
The Luxembourg Pailace (French: Palais du Luxembourg, pronounced [pa.lɛ dy lyk.sɑ̃.buːʁ]) is locatit at 15 rue de Vaugirard in the 6t arrondissement o Paris. It is next tae the Petit Luxembourg.

Brief history
eeditThe pailace wis commisioned bi Marie de' Medici tae mirror the style o the Palazzo Pitti frae her native Florence (she wis a dochter o a Grand Duke o Tuscany an princess o the Grand Duchy o Tuscany bi birth.) As a result it wis cried the Palais Médicis
At her daith in In 1642, Marie de' Medici bequeathed the Luxembourg tae her secoint an favourite son, Gaston, Duke o Orléans, who cried it the Palais d'Orléans even though it wis still cried the Palais Médicis Upon Gaston's daith, the pailace passed tae his widow, Marguerite o Lorraine, then tae his elder dochter bi his first mairiage, La Grande Mademoiselle. In 1660, she sold it tae her younger half-sister, Élisabeth Marguerite d'Orléans who, in turn, gave it tae her cousin, King Louis XIV, in 1694.
