Kneške Ravne (pronounced [ˈkneːʃkɛ ˈɾaːu̯nɛ]) is a dispersed dounset in the hills north o the Bača Valley in the Municipality o Tolmin in the Littoral region o Slovenie.[2] It lees in the soothren border aurie o Triglav Naitional Pairk an is a popular stairtin point for hikes in the soothwastren Julian Alps. The dounset haes been pairt o the pairk syne 2010.

The name o the dounset wis changit frae Ravne tae Kneške Ravne (leeterally, 'Kneža Ravne') in 1953,[3] distinguishin it frae nearbi Tolminske Ravne (leeterally 'Tolmin Ravne') an similarly namit dounsets. The name Ravne is frequent in Slovenie an is adjectival in oreegin, resultin frae ellipsis o the noun phrase ravne njive 'flat fields, level fields', referrin tae the local geografie.[4]
