Klavže (pronounced [ˈklaːu̯ʒɛ]) is a dounset in the Bača Valley in the Municipality o Tolmin in the Littoral region o Slovenie.[2] The Bohinj Railway line runs throu the dounset.

Klavže wis attestit in written sources in 1763–87 as Klausa. The name is derivit frae the Slovene common noun klavže 'logging sluice' (< German Klause < Middle Heich German klûse < Medieval Laitin clūsa 'barrier'), referrin tae loggin activity in the aurie.[3]
