Kirtlebrig (English: Kirtlebridge) is a veelage in the historical coonty o Dumfriesshire in Dumfries an Gallowa, Scotland. It is locatit 5 mile nor'east o Annan, 3.1 nor'wast o Kirkpaitrick Fleemin, an awmaist ae mile sooth o Eaglesfield. The veelage is locatit whaur the A74(M) motorwey an the West Coast Main Line railwey cross the Kirtle Watter.[1] The Kirtlebridge rail crash occurred at the station on 2 October 1872, and resulted in 12 deaths.[2]
