The Javan rhinoceros (Rhinoceros sondaicus), kent as the Sunda rhinoceros or lesser ane-horned rhinoceros an aw, is a vera rare member o the faimily Rhinocerotidae an ane o five extant rhinoceroses. It belangs tae the same genus as the Indie rhinoceros, an haes seemilar mosaicked, armour-lik skin, but at 3.1–3.2 m (10–10 ft) in lenth an 1.4–1.7 m (4.6–5.6 ft) in hicht, it is smawer (closer in size tae the black rhinoceros o the genus Diceros). Its horn is uisually shorter than 25 cm (9.8 in), an is smawer than those o the ither rhino species. Anerly adult males hae horns; females lack thaim awthegither.
