HMS Beagle
HMS Beagle wis a Cherokee-cless 10-gun brig-sloop o the Royal Navy, ane o mair nor 100 ships o this cless. The vessel, constructed at a cost o £7,803, wis launched on 11 Mey 1820 frae the Woolwich Dockyard on the River Thames. On the seicont survey voyage the young naituralist Charles Darwin wis on buird, an his wirk made Beagle ane o the maist famous ships in history.[2]
