Gromovo
Gromovo (Roushie: Гро́мово; Finnish: Sakkola) is a dounset in Priozersky Destrict o Leningrad Oblast, Roushie, locatit 18 km northwast o Sosnovo, an a station o the Saunt Petersburg-Kuznechnoye railwey. Gromovo is situatit on the northren shore o the Lake Sukhodolskoye, Karelian Isthmus. Till the Winter War an the Continuation War, it haed been the admeenistrative centre o the Sakkola municipality o Finland. It hosts an interceptor aircraft militar base, which is an auld, sma fechter airfield wi a crude runwey extension frae 2,000 tae 2,500 m. It wis hame tae 180 IAP (180t Interceptor Aviation Regiment) which flew MiG-31 aircraft as late as 1991.[1] It is locatit anerlie 90 km north o Saunt Petersburg (Leningrad).
