Born in Tres Sargentos, Buenos Aires, Pavone made his senior debut in the 1997–98 saison, appearin in seiven scoreless gemmes for Estudiantes de La Plata, efter which he representit three teams in quick succession. Stairtin the early 2000s an durin ane year, he played amateur fitbaw in Italy.
Efter a spell wi Independiente Rivadavia in the Primera B Nacional Pavone muivit abroad again, jynin CF Extremadura in Spain. He wad remain in the kintra for the vast majority o the follaein seiven years (safe for ane saison back in his hameland wi All Boys), niver competin in heicher than Segunda División B.
Follaein the 2009–10 campaign in Tercera División, 33-year-auld Pavone wis released bi CD Don Benito. He returned tae his kintra subsequently, competin exclusively at amateur level.
