Essaouira

Essaouira (Berber: ⵎⵓⴳⴰⴹⵓⵔ Taṣṣurt, Arabic: الصويرة, as-Ṣawīra) is a ceety in the wastren Moroccan economic region o Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz, on the Atlantic coast. Syne the 16t century, the ceety haes an aa been kent bi its Portuguese name o Mogador or Mogadore. The Berber name means the waw, a reference tae the fortress waws that oreeginally enclosed the ceety.
