In the east, north, wast an sooth it is amaist completely encircled bi the Nor Lípez Province, anerlie in the sootheast it is bordered bi the Sur Lípez Province for 20 km.
The province extends ower 120 km frae northwast tae sootheast at an average width o 35 km.
