Breña Alta
Breña Alta (Spainyie for Upper Breña) is a municipality on the eastren side o the island o La Palma, in the province o Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the Canary Islands. The ayuntamiento (municipal office) is in the toun o San Pedro, at 350 m abuin sea-level, an anerly 9 km sooth o the island's caipital Santa Cruz de la Palma . Breña Alta lees on the main heich-gate encirclin the island, juist north o La Palma Airport. Till the 17t century the aurie wis kent as Breña, but wis then dividit intae Breña Alta an Breña Baja.

Breña Alta affers a panoramic view o La Gomera tae the sootheast. The coastline an the valley auries are made up o fermland, while the muntainous auries are forestit, or grassy in the wast whaur hintle the aurie haes been deforestit. The main industry is agricultur. Breña Alta haes a fishin port, a airtificial beach at Bajamar, an a industrial aurie. The municipality is kent for its tobacco production.
