Birán
Birán is a sma toun locatit in the municipality o Mayarí in the Holguín Province o Cuba, best kent as the birthplace o Fidel Castro in 1926 an Raúl Castro in 1931. Their faither awned a 23,000 acre (93 km²) plantation there. It is locatit 30 kilometers (19 mi) soothwast o Mayarí an 9 kilometers (5.6 mi) sooth o Cueto, in the fuithills o the Nipe Muntains (Sierra de Nipe).
